Nebraska-Kearney’s Romero Cotton is final D2Wrestle National Wrestler of the Week

NEWBERRY, S.C. – After a three-pin run to his third consecutive MIAA championship, Nebraska-Kearney 197-pounder Romero Cotton is the final D2Wrestle National Wrestler of the Week for the 2015-16 season.

Cotton – the two-time defending national champion at 197 lbs. – was dominant in winning a third MIAA title, with all three wins coming by fall.

He pinned Grant Sparks of Central Missouri (1:15), Dalton Weidl of Newman (1:36) and Dillon Archer of Lindenwood (3:29).

He improves to 16-1 on the season with 11 falls.
